Default Anybody catching any sheepsheads?

I have been to the jetties twice and around the rocks in the shipchannel but can't buy a sheepshead. Is it too early?

We usually don't target them, but managed one in early January throwing a dead shrimp over the rocks while fishing for redfish. Hit the pier last week and worked all the pilings without so much as a nibble.

I would have thought I could have caught some at the jetties with fresh shrimp but didn't. I have heard they show up around April. Is that true? We have caught so many redfish, a few trout, and a flounder or two this spring so nobody is starving but I love the taste of sheepshead.
