I got rid of my season tickets, threw away all the cups I keep from the games including the NFC championship game ones, wrote Bobby Hebert an email telling him he's not my hero anymore, didn't cry when Hokie and Will and passed on and I'm building a fire right now to burn all my shirts and Jerseys. Thanks for the heads up.

You can't wipe your butt with the 2nd Amendment without getting poop on the whole Bill of Rights.

Sounds like a complete liberal idiot to me. I've always liked him as a coach and appeared to be a good level headed person. Time for him to move back to Chicago if you ask me.

U are the Dumbest A zzz I've ever read. Where is the civil rights violation?? Coach Peyton was just expressing his opinion. Everyone has there right to there own opinion. He lost a friend, player, that was close to him.

If my memory serves me right??? U have expressed your extreme views and opinions on why CCA is the cause for every evil and bad that has happened to BIG LAKE.

I think even about "Why Home schooling is the best thing since sliced bread".

No one on here has hollered for you being banned from this site. U have your own right to express your opinion.

I'd like to see what U would SAY?? If it was your on child, wife, or family member that was shot and killed for no sane reason.

Come ON MAN. Get REAL.

And Before you start bashing me.. I've got lots of shotguns. I've been waterfowl hunting before U were born. So I'm not anti-gun.

Guns don't kill People........ People kill People.

Banning guns would be a violation of civil rights, and Payton's comments make it clear he is advocating for additional gun restrictions:

"I hate guns. ... I've heard people argue that everybody needs a gun. That's madness. I know there are many kids who grow up in a hunting environment. I get that. But there are places, like England, where even the cops don't have guns," Payton said.

He looked up information on the internet about the .45 large caliber gun that killed Smith.

"We could go online and get 10 of them, and have them shipped to our house tomorrow," Payton said. "I don't believe that was the intention when they allowed for the right for citizens to bear arms."

"Two hundred years from now, they're going to look back and say, 'What was that madness about?' " Payton told Jarrett Bell and USA Today. "The idea that we need them to fend off intruders ... people are more apt to draw them (in other situations). That's some silly stuff we're hanging onto."

The Right to Keep and Bear Arms is not "some silly stuff we're hanging onto." It is a fundamental civil right guaranteed both by the US and the Louisiana Constitutions.

See: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...th-i-hate-guns

Perhaps the problem would be clearer for some if he was advocating taking away the right to vote rather than RKBA.

And some stooge *** football coach isn't gonna change any of that. These stupid athletes, coaches and actors think they can just spout their opinion, and that it's going to mean something.

His opinion doesn't mean any more than anyone else's. If this idiot can't realize that bad people will find ways to do bad things, then that's him.

You honestly believe this idiot can sway political matters? That just shows how dumb politicians, and people, are if they are swayed by what some overpaid football coach has to say.

Again.. I guess because of your superior mind.. U feel expressing ones own opinion is a civil rights violation.

I guess if he was anti-fishing you would be calling for his firing also..

Go read my Big Fish Texas title on this site if U want to get fired up about something. I posted it for a friend. These guys HATE RECREATIONAL FISHERMAN....

I'm FOR the STRICTEST of background checks for the sale of all guns.. If U have a criminal record besides miner speeding tickets etc.. You Should NOT be able to own certain types a gun. Domestic violence, drug conviction etc. No guns of ANY type.

But I'm just expressing my own opinion.. The guy that shot Will Smith was a lowlife coward.

Remember most laws are for the every day law bidding citizen.. Thugs and lowlife criminals will always get weapons. Just my 2 cents.

The bold part is not a violation of your civil rights. Why don't you go join all the other protesters that have nothing better to do than whine about what people say in the media.

So if I say we should take the voting rights away from homos, I'm not advocating that their civil rights be violated?

Are you really ignorant of the NFL's attempts to sway civil rights legislation in various states?

So would that make will Smith a lowlife coward since he crashed into the other lowlife's hummer in a hit n run?

Advocating is not a violation. That, as much as some may not like it, is freedom of speech. The action would be as violation of civil rights. I would expect you to understand the difference. Everyone else here seems to.

No, I am not ignorant of it. One coach is not the NFL. Did anyone with the Falcons say anything about it? No. There is a monumental difference between the NFL threatening to pull millions of dollars and some stupid coach spouting his opinion as if it means something. As bad as it is, money is going to influence political decisions. Does anyone think that if this moron coach said "I'm leaving new orleans if guns aren't banned" that some politician is going to run out and make it happen? He's a football coach for a team that hasn't done **** aside for one season.
