Default 2011 Shearwater 23TE / 250 SHO

Recently picked up my 3rd Shearwater and wanted to share a few pics.

Special thanks to Tom Miller at Gulf Coast Marine, Derek Garcia and Justin at Breakwater Marine Electronics and Chris Hewes at Finish Line for the excellent work completing the rigging on the 2011 Shearwater 23 TE / 250 SHO pictured here.

The goodie list includes 82 MG hand control, 8ft Power Pole with remotes, Optima series 31s with Billet Aluminum boxes from Hydrilla Gear, Stealth AC/DC battery maintenance system, Lowrance HDS 10 with StructureScan, Navionics Platinum+ chip, Sirius satellite weather and radio, Fusion IP600 with JBL 6x9s, Icom VHF with quick release antenna, 60 qt Yeti forward of console, swim platform port side, quick release windshield and console grab bar, Bob's JP with LED on dash.

Just picked my chin up off my desk - nice rig man. Hope you enjoy it!!

From the looks of things, you launch out of the RV park at Pleasure Island. How's the fishing been over there? I haven't launched out of there in over a year since I switched over to Big Lake.

Thanks. I do fish Sabine quite a bit and avoid crowds that are in the other Tx bay systems. Sabine and Big Lake give us access to marsh, main lake, jetty and near rigs. I do a lot of CPR, but do keep a few now and then. Started fishing Sabine in the early 2000s with a 19 ft Skeeter bass boat. The topwater trout bite, got me away from chasing the little green fish. Hard to beat the pond redfish though. I grew up in So La and the family still has a camp in Grand Isle.
