Default Fished with Salty Shaw 8/23/2011

We chased Mullet for a while by Cal. Point. Then headed down to Cameron.
Fished the West side of the channel and saw Waltrip on the East side.
First cast I caught a 3 lb. Trout on topwater. Cursed our trip when I did that. Caught one more on soft plastics that was a keeper, then the undersized dinks.
Moved farther South to potlick W on the West side, Ladyfish. Moved to the North end of the West Jettys, Ladyfish.
Moved to the end of the jettys, nothing. Went to check out Holly Beach and the water was muddy just a couple miles West of the jettys.
Hit a few rigs, one Trophy Sail Cat and a few Spanish Macks that cut our floro leaders, then back to the ship channel for one more small keeper,
then ran back to Calcasieu Point. About 100 miles for 5 fish.
Shaw said he wanted to be home for noon. I didn't get home till 3 pm.
Lil bassid lies.
All my fish were caught on artificial, except for the Trophy Sail Cat.
