Default Boat Value Help??? Blazer Bay 24' CC

Hey Guys,

Somewhat new to the site. Long time lurker for the fishing reports. I started trying to learn and fish Dularge about a year ago (grew up fishing Bayou Black) and found this site really helpful. I currently have a bass boat, which is great, but I would like to venture out to the Mardi Gras, the islands, and in the coastal lakes and not have to worry about it getting rough. My uncle has an 02 Blazer Bay 24' CC that he never uses. Bought. It from his brother, so I know both owners. I called him yesterday to see if he would sell it and surprisingly he said he would. Told me to look online and get an idea of what it's worth. I looked all last night and found nothing. So I am hoping some of you can give me some feedback. It's an 02 hull with an 02 Yamaha 225 with 500'ish hours. Has a Garmin GPS about a year old and an aluminum Coastline tandem axle trailer that's about a year old. He is supposed to be sending me pics soon. If he does I will post them. I plan on going check it out in the next few weeks in Houston. Am I out of line thinking I should offer $8-$10k? I have seen new ones online for $30-$35k. Any feedback is appreciated.

8-10 sounds like a steal.. the bigger question is weather or not you can afford to use the boat as much as you would like to. $100 bucks will not fill up the gas tank, and you will need a good truck to pull it.

Pulling it and gas won't be an issue. I'm thinking ill offer him $12-$15k and see what he says.

I really appreciate all of the feedback. I will talk to him more this week about it. I'm hoping I can pick it up for around $10k then throw a power pole and jack plate on it and be done. I'll post pics if he sends them. I haven't seen it in years but supposed to be in good shape.

Excellent shape no more than $15,000.

Don't tell him about thehulltruth though, he can get $30,000 for it on there.

Spoke with him tonight and he emailed some pics of it. Said he will be asking more than $10k and that he would get back to me once he gets with his insurance company to see what they value it at. I want this boat, but I just can't justify spending more than 14 or 15k for an 02 model. I attached a pic that he sent.
