Default Cypremort Point Flounder

Woke up this morning knowing I needed to do some work on my boat but I really wanted to fish. Headed to Cypremort point state park to do a little bank fishing. Started slow for specks had alot of blowups on topwater but not takers. Gave up on the specks and picked up my pole with a cork and jighead tipped with shrimp. Started off catching 10 or so rat reds and hooked into 2 nice flounder, one was 22"....anyone know about how much it should weight? I know a 22" speck is about 4 pounds.

The water was pretty good, was green but kind of stained. I had a relaxing day fishing off the bank on the beach at the sailboat launch, have not done that in a while. The wind was calm when I got there around 8 but when I left at 1:30 it was kicking pretty good out of the northeast. Marsh Island is flounder heaven in the fall,me and my podna caught our limit around this time last year in oyster lake.

You rather fish over work,NO WAY!!!! lol.....it looks like its going to pour tonight and tomorrow, looking at the radar. It will be a good time to do the work I need to do to my boat before and after the saints game. I heard from a customer that he caught some nice trout in weeks bay this past thursday. A buddy of mine and his dad went to the cove yesterday and caught 20 specks all 2 to 3 pounds on glow and chartruse chubs.

Yeah man I wish i was self employed so i could go on the weekdays more often. There are so many idiots out there that have no clue how to fish and get right on you. I casted into someones boat last weekend and he had the nerve to get mad.

lol. yeah, they will practically run you over and never think anything of it. Or sometimes, just pull up right on you and start asking if your doing any good, and telling you that they tore them up last week at this spot, like that makes it all right to run over your lines.
