Default Fishin the Pearl

I left early this morning headed to the causeway to catch some trout, I went with a friend that I fish with in a bass club, was expecting 5mph winds, got to the 8 mile marker in Lake P and started to see white caps, so we headed back in and changed plans. Ended up going to fish the east Pearl, we found a small landing to launch and fished for about 6 hours, caught about 25 bass, keep 10 threw the rest back, My buddy Wade, ended up with the big fish for the day, he caught one that was almost 3 pounds, we threw it back but it sure was nice compared to the other fish we were catching. I had a good time and learned a new area to fish, now hopefully they reopen some of the boat launches to the public, since they can't find any oil, There was booms placed around some of the marsh grass, didn't see any oil or even know why there is booms placed around some of the grass far inland from the gulf.
