5800-5950 is ideal, 6100 is soft limiter, 6350 is hard limiter. How may rpm's did you turn that 25p? I'm guessing it never saw 5000

21p Rev 4. Call ken and PropGods and have him send you a test prop for 35 bucks.

That exact prop pushed my heavy *** triton 22 LTS faster than the bravo 1 22p I tried.

edit. I'm running a 250 ProXS

W Send your prop to mark croxton with croxton props. Tell him what you want. Never have I found anyone better on Bravo props. He can work your 22 and get you what you want outof it.

theres more to this than just a prop issue....he was turning this prop fine before and should have turned that 25 bravo xs....there may be a hidden problem elsewhere.

His hole shot issue could have been the vent holes being too big.

I still say try a 21p Rev4 and run the medium PVS plugs.

With that 25 i was pushing good once on plane doing about 5400 RPMs going about 55mph but it was real choppy and did not open it up all the way

But when i gun it to get up it feels sluggish getting up

I still have that 25 on it and will go to ship channel next week and play with it morw

That bravo 1 XS has 1" vent holes which allows the prop to slip by letting the exhaust go around the blades. Those are HUGE holes!!!

Once you get back from testing post your WOT rpm and speed. If your still running 5400 RPMs then your too low. Especially if your running a light load.

Do you have a Merc Monitor? My analog RPM gauge was off by 200 RPMs at WOT.

My best cruise speed with the 22p bravo 1 was 3800 RPM burning 7.5gph or 4.4mpg at 33mph.

EDIT:

Also your prop slip is roughly 25% at 5400 running 55mph. That's not good.

how much does your boat weigh? Hull, motor, gear, etc? Not looking for an exact number but something close would help.
