that st croix i have is the MOST sensitive rod i own its a medium which now after throwing the cenderi light seems alittle stiff but i use it alot in the winter for the subtle bites i love that rod but to compare overall the st croix and the falcon cenderi i like the cenderi cause is limper and about $150.00 cheaper . if i paid reg price for the cenderi (269.00) then id like the st croix better. heres the link to the modle i have link http://www.stcroixrods.com/rods/default2.asp?rodname=52

I never understood spending that much for a rod and reel. My uncle does well for himself and has several $1000+ rod n reel combos and doesn't catch any more fish than me with my $50 castaway and $50 shimano setup. The expensive stuff is a lot smoother but I guess I'm just cheap. Fishing is what I do to pass the time till next hunting season!!!!

Now come on Salty....Curados do not rust!!! BEST REEL FOR THE MONEY! !!!!
Oct.....I can see spending money on a reel....All I use are Curados but on rods I spend 50-60 bucks. I do have one custom rod that my kids bought me from Jimbo Rods in BR. Nice rod but to me it was not worth the $$$. It comes down to this we all have things we maybe over spend $$$ on. If I wanted to justify spending the extra $$$ I would love to have $150-$200 rods to go with my Curado reels!

Pox none of mine have rust....Once I am back home I take my garden hose and rise it off lightly then I take a dry cloth and dry it off. Also, about every 5-7 times I use mine I take the reel handle off and and oil that are down. I have ZERO rust on my 3.
