Default Triggerfish

How far out of Freshwater City in the gulf would I have to go to catch triggerfish? I have a 19ft bay boat with one motor would that be safe?

NOT far....once in the gulf find a platform about 12-15 miles out......use a small hook and any kind of bait........should not have to fish them deep...most hang in 3-10 feet zone///

Thanks for the reply. I work offshore and used to fish all the time on the rigs but only caught triggerfish in 80-100ft of water. So I wasn't sure if they were that shallow. This will be my first time heading out to the gulf with my bay boat. Thanks

Bring some chum, anything out the freezer or fridge. Or a few cans of corn.
That will bring them right up to the boat. They ain't scared of nothing.
