FlagUS Dularge Fishing

Down In Dularge!!

A fun morning of smashing the yellow-mouths on the DU! It was about as easy as it gets this morning for the guys from Frac-Chem out of Lafayette. Randy Block,Guy McClung and Joel Hebert arrived late last night with their eyes on the prize! They wanted limits of fat speckled trout and they got their wish. Our first stop in the famous tank battery canal in north Bayou Seveur had cooled off as we found only 15 keepers at daybreak. Made another move and found the trout stacked and eating up although there was hardly any tide movement. It didn't matter as the SHINEY HINEY was the ticket today! It had to be a cork or you would not get a bite. The trout were suspended in 3-4 ft down in the water column and tightlining on the bottom was useless today. I had to make some adjustments to the SH as we wanted the lure to be about 3 ft under the cork for our best success. We rigged the SH with a limetreuse Bayou Chub Minnow and the trout ate them up! The guys whacked the trout and by 10:30 we were on the way back to the camp as they had enough fish with 85 on ice! Lake Decade is 'ON' right now with plenty of great reports yesterday and today. If you've been waitiong for a great time to catch fish, now is that time!! Good luck fishing.
