Cheers top water fun.

earlier this month i spent a few days throwin topwater in lake catherine over in slidell. afternoons were on fire and we caught good trout every day! even had a few reds show up.

i absolutely think this cold fromt has dropped the temps into the mid 70's
according to my journal entries i began catchin the biger trout on the causeway last year on oct 24, air temp hadnt gone above 80 for a few days and the nights were low 50-high 40.
water temp was 73 when the bite started. lasted until we had that snow fall in late nov. once the water temp ets below 60 it begins to slow the bite.

sure they will we just gotta super glue 5/8 worth of lead on em so they can get down 17ft you said you bass fished. fish the causeway the same like ya workin a worm slow off the bottom

I fish bass with a Bomber............it's a freshwater bait. Never used rubber baits.

I got tons of plastics and jigheads...just never used them. I got some buddies that smoke them hawgs on the big bridge in the fall and winter. I can get "W" to call Eric and find out when and where.
