Default Cast net size?

Is there Iimit on the size of cast net you can throw? I need to replace the ones I have. What size do you guys throw?

I have a 6 foot and 8 foot....mostly use the 6 though

8' 6" in reserve. I throw an 8' or 7'. 7' mostly for mullet and 8' for shrimp.

No Limit, I have a 5 and an 8'

If you throwing for shrimp now the limit is 25lbs i think.

If U R throwing on the Refuge?? There is a size limit.. I think Jchief is correct. Its either 8'6" or 8'.

Get the biggest you can throw under the limit. Especially if you are after shrimp.

Store in a bucket of water and a little bit of laundry softener. It softens the net and will make throwing the net a lot easier. Takes the memory out of nets that been stored for a while.
