I know a couple who caught their bucket today. So they are still there.
Water is still warm in the lake.
Wish it would cool down soon.

Never heard of this, We were checked by the game wardens last week and they didn't ask for any shrimp tag. They just wanted fishing license, life jackets and how much shrimp we had.

FlagUS PARK

that is a long boat ride from prien lake park to grand bayou. i would launch at heberts or cocahoes now. if you lauch on the north end it will be cheaper to buy shrimp than to run down there.

A few weeks ago went to Turners from the salt water barrier. Just enjoyed the ride. Helped Chaves a little and chilled. I stopped by Calcacieu Point and got some shrimp, and continued on. Some times it's just great to be on the water.
