Default 7-24-09 and 7-25-09 VBay Report

Just a small report from inside the bay. Caught a bunch of small reds, with only one keeper and a couple flounder on friday...could have caught more if we could have stayed away from all the LADY FISH!!!! Saturday went out and pretty much the same except not as many lady fish so we managed 4 Reds and 4 Flounder(lost another, the big one at the boat). Wind stayed down and it was nice, but hot. Everything was caught when tide was moving after that it was dead except for the occasional Flounder. There was plenty of people out at the point on saturday so I hope others had success.

They were caught in the bay...my boat is a bit small for going to marsh island. The biggest we have caught this summer so far is 2lbs, about 2 weeks ago while fishing for reds with a cork. They seem to be thick in the bay right now.

That is a very nice catch whaticant...I wish we could have caught some trout so we could have one of those famous Cajun Grand Slams everyone talks about.
