I would not buy a browning ever. Just my preference. I have seen brownings fail on more occasions than any other gun. Benelli or bust! Lol. I have a Winchester too that I won that never worked right from the first time I tried it. The 870 wingmaster is a good gun. But I fell in love with my benelli

Beretta is a great gun. Talked to some guys that hunted doves in Argentina. Shooting 2,000-3,000 rounds and Beretta is the gun that had the least problems after shooting so many rounds

I also have an old belgium A5 that my pawpaw gave me. It stays in the safe. Beretta is a good gun. When I bought my benelli it was between benelli and beretta. When I got to G&H I shouldered the beretta Xplor and Xtrema 2. Then I shouldered the benelli M2 and didn't quite fit me right. So I tried the SBE11 and it didn't feel right either. Then I tried the ugly Vinci and it fits perfect and it is light years lighter than the beretta. Thats what sold me. The berettas are a lot heavier than benelli.

berretta
Most of your high end semi's come with wedges to shim your butt stock. This changes the heel and comb of the gun. So just shouldering it the store doesn't always give you the right feel. They can be adjusted. And it does make a world of differance when shooting one that is set right...

Yea. I have shims for my benelli also. But shouldering it at the store tells me that beretta weighs a ton and benelli is like a feather. That was really the deal breaker.

Benelli also comes with a 5 year warranty. Not just send the gun in for repairs, but they send you a whole new gun. Hard to beat that. The Vinci is the easiest shotgun to tear completely down too.

I have a beretta xtrema 1 thats about 9 years old. Its been through hell and back twice, been left out over night on accident in the rain and still have never had one problem with it. My next gun will either be the xtrema 2 or super black eagle 2.

Only Gun There Is
Browning . I have three of them ,the Silver,Gold,Maxus .Not a single problem with any of them . I work as a guide and All have been used and abused in the marsh over 45 days a year . Only 3.5's shot out of them except for teal season ,and still no malfunctions. Only cleaned if it gets rained on ,and still no malfunctions. Shoot all brands of shells ,and still no malfunctions . More customer complaints about Benellis than anything else in over 15 yrs as a duck guide. |

Now that the Winchester SX-3 is made by FN from Belgium , I bought one and love it . You can adjust it with factory provided shims and butt plates to fit you which is a nice touch. They start at 800 all the way up to 1299 . Also for what you want to pay I bought a 12 ga. and a 20 ga. SX-3 for 1600 dollars one for teal one for big ducks

I got the xtrema 2 and I love it. Shoots Amy shell you put in it with no problems. And the patternmaster extend long range choke is a good investment to add to it.

Take a look at the Browining BPS. A good all around gun. I have shot and owned many guns and I always go back to my BPS. JMO.

Hard to go wrong with an 870 which IMO is the AK of shotguns. You can beat it, abuse it, dirty it, talk dirty to it and it will keep on trucking. I've seen several benellis fail and saw a brand new winchester fall apart almost right out of the box. It ain't sexy but at the end of the day you know it's going to shoot.
