Default Big Lake June 3rd -6th

Few pics from this weekend

Long few days of fishing and helping hold my seat down at Cocahoes

Had some decent trips most were in the late afternoon ...Morning time was not a good thing for the old head

Not much luck the day of the shootout......could not boat anything over 3lbs....ChrisR, Fool and i eye witness the most unbelievable thing we have ever seen...

Pulled up to an area about 11am day of shootout....light rain and calm
We saw trout chasing shrimp and jumping 2ft out of the water....all 3 -5lb trout....These shirmp were huge and the trout were all around us...every where you looked just blowing up ......you even saw the spots on the fish because that's how close they would come to the boat.....It was unreal....

BUT...They would not touch a artificial bait... top water ,sand eels, jerk jrs, sparkle beetles, salty grub, catch 2000 and POP TAILS

Talk about make you mad watching this tease ...Picked up two trout in one hour of casting at hundreds of feeding fish.......

We got on some fish too that did the same thing around 10 am big shrimp everywhere with nice 3 to 4 lb trout right by the boat just jumping and busting them it was awesome sight. Only thing they would hit anything we would throw at them. Only could manage a 4 pounder But seen some big ones.

Hit the lake and the jetty's in Cameron yesterday. Caught 2 nice Flounder and 1 small Red in the West Fork area, where the old camps were wiped out for Rita.
We went offshore today. Started at WC-171, then hit WC-180, WC-198 and WC-205. 1 King, 1 Drum and 1 Black Tip.
78 total miles, little windy at first, but it laid down around noon.
I am whuuped, and sun burnt. Ready to go back to work.

we also seen the same thing in prien, trout jumping out the water after the shrimp, seen some really nice ones just could not get the big ones to bite, tryed throwing different stuff at them, caught a few keepers and a **** load of lil ones but all they wanted was the gulp new penny 2'' , the water was boiling with fish.
