Both have their pros and cons, I love my talon and people love their power poles, most complaints I have heard are the power pole remote systems are always crappin out, won't have that problem with a talon but to each is their own

My remote just got stuck in up position and burned a hole in the reservoir causing all the oil to leak out. It's less than a year old. It was under warranty and Jerrys marine covered everything and was very proffesional. He gave me two new remotes, a new reservoir and changed the remote mechanism out at the motor. I fished for two days w/ the anchor and hated it and was glad to get the power pole back. Even though it broke I would highly recomend it. It is great when it works. No nothing about the other one.

10' is gonna be sweet but I'm still undecided on what's goin on my next boat, but will most likely be a talon due to the problems wit p/p I'm on the water to much to have that thing mess up and have to spend a day or two in the shop just my opinion

If you hardwire a switch on the console you will be fine.

I don't know about you but 95% of the time my pole goes down while I'm on the trolling motor, I'm not knocking the pp just not sure if it's what I want, I have fished in many boats with them and all have trouble with remotes which sucks!

I always thought they were a waste of money until last year when I fished out of a boat that had a Power Pole, what a world of difference it made, now I want one.

I hear ya...they also make some foot switches you can mount on the front deck. Most of the tournament fishermen use them cause they are very reliable. Go that route and you dont even need a remote. Saves almost 200 bucks too

PP is the way to go....no experience with the talon. If money was not an object i would put 2 on the back of the boat so I would not have to worry about the wind spinning me around.

Makes it a lot easier when fishing alone.
And a lot less mess than anchoring.
