Line Suggestions

I mostly saltwater fish, but I now have been taking my 10 year old daughter perch fishing. I recently have pruchased a couple of ultra light reels and would like to get some suggestions of what would be the best line to place on those reels. Any help wil be appreciated.

Ultra light reel = 4 lb test mono. I caught a 1.5# bass using ultra light and thought I had a Tuna on the line.

To help you daughter catch more bream.....get some very small hooks. This will help the "hook-up" ratio.

I use 10lb braid lol its very small diameter and you aint gotta worry bout snapping no line i agree with Gerald get a smaller hook she wont miss any bream.

I typically use either 4 or 6 lb mono on my ultra's. Remember kids hang up a lot while fishing. If you use braided line, it may cause you to swear, while trying to break the line.

cheap cheap hooks so you can str8'em out when they get hung in the trees..I use 8lb on my ultralights. One bad thing about the 8lb it gets kinda messed up on the spool often, but not a bad trade to beable to straighten out hung up hooks
