Default here is

a lil report from henderson ! myself and the step-son went fish henderson today from 7-ish to 2-ish despite these gail force winds ! lol started tossing around pop-r's and chug bugs on some points north of i-10, each of us hooking onto a few fish early . the bite shut down so we tried some perch jerkin for while, caught a bunch but some small ones. at this point it started clouding up so we went back to work with the topwater baits. each time the sun went behind the clouds they start biting. it got to the point where we would wait for the sun to get behind a cloud before we would cast ! between us 2 we boated around 25 bass but only 3 were keepers, but no matter the size we both had a "blast slinging bass"

yeah I'm bout to start fishing a frog over some grass, for some top water action, my biggest bass was on a frog! I like the poppers too, great spring time lure for catching some keeper bass.

I wish we could have stayed till dark cause it was cloudy all afternoon ! I know we could have caught a ton more and some more keepers ! If they leave the place alone and not try to control the grass, its gonna be a great fishing season next year !
