nobody is hating.... all i ask was where the painted blue bill came from...

and it is not an expert opinion with the delta guy specifically said he was not an expert in hybrids...

and why would you need to argue proof over the internet about ANYTHING??

Who the hell is an expert in something that, in a group of birds with millions of individuals, happens very seldom? Its not like there are millions of these out there.

The guy is an expert on waterfowl ID. Even if he isn't an expert on hybrids, a hybrid is probably going to have markings similar to the 2 parent species. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that he can look at the bird and see markings prevalent in 2 or more species.

At Least somebody gets it!!

I do have an email out to Jörn Lehmhus, who is world renown for his knowledge in Hybrids! Ha
Maybe he will respond. Until then, I guess we will have to take the opinion of just an Expert on Waterfowl ID!!

Cgoods17, The bird did have some blue tint to his upper bill upon being shot, which is when he is being held in my hand. Dr. Joern Lehmhus also further pointed that out in his response to me.

My taxidermist, accentuated it by painting it more blue to further bring out the Pintail in the bird. In my opinion it does not correctly display what the actual bird features are... With that being said, I am having him correct the bill to match the Actual Bill, which is mostly black with a hint of blue at the base.

Hope this clears up any confusion on the matter!

lol we killed 670 birds out of our camp last year, probably 70% being green wing teal, that's your standard greenwing all day long, just not in full plumage so the colors aren't completely developed, c'mon man.

That looks nothing like a green wing teal and was twice the size... If you kill that many you'd know yourself. Look at the confirmation I've received from a waterfowl expert and an international expert on Hybrids from Denmark.

C'mon Man.. what a fool
