Default Weekend at Ophelia

Arrived at Mac's camp ground Thursday a.m, and hit the woods scouting. Beautiful woods. Lots of deer sign. Head back in, and make friends with the neighbors who decide to show us more spots Friday. With all the water up there, you are restricted to ridges, so they brought us to some and we were satisfied.

Saturday we sat on the stands all day long, 5 hunters in our group, I was the only one to see a doe, which popped out at 7:04 that morning. I let her walk being its rut up there. BIG mistake.

Did not see a deer for the rest of the weekend. Beautiful area. Lots of flooded timber full of mallards and wood ducks.

I'll be back next year with bow and shotgun.

20 deer killed yesterday, and when I left earlier zero babe been brought in today.

What about the comment "it's brown it's down"
You said you caught some slack about it, but hey, it's your hunt, you do what you want with it.
Can't kill them good bucks by shootin the 1st thing that walks out.
