Default Triton 220 LTS

Ok, right up front, I know it's not a Haynie. Now that we have that out of the way, what is the reputation of this boat? I know the 24 footer is considered a beast but what about their 22 foot model, how is she in a chop? I found a real good deal on one and would like your opinions. Thanks.

I think the 22LTS is a bad azz boat! Probably all the boat you would ever need.

The 22 is a beast, and IMO one of, if not the smoothest riding boat in it's class. Put the tabs down and it will eat up the chop. The boat won't win any races, and it doesn't come in fancy colors, but it will take you just about anywhere you want to go within reason.

I have a 24' triton n I love it , I have been in micahs 22' triton, it is also a great boat . What is the details on the boat , ? Year? Motor hours? Clean? Ect...the problem I see with a lot of fla boats is they are kept in a hoist in the weather all day or kept in the water .. But if it looks clean go check it out. Also call triton with the hull Id n see if they have done any warranty work on the boat

Good suggestion Pox, I will get the hull ID number and call Triton. It's a S.C. boat and looks damn near new...doesn't look faded at all. It's a light blue.

Mikethetiger, any way to add one of those short bench seats on the rear deck ...I have some kids that would probably like one of those.

Yeah, you can add a bench seat. I talked to LMC about adding one last time I brought it in. That's my only complaint with my boat - lack of seating.

If you add one how hard is it to get to the big live well right there?

Honestly don't know. I know they can install one with a removable backrest, so I am sure it should be easy to access with it removed??

Easy, cushion just snaps to that lid. Rest against backrest when lifted.

The 220 LTS is a great boat. Lost of redfish guys ran the wheels off of them for years. Solid, good rough water ride.

Great Boat, My FIL has a neighbor who charters out of his. Big Dry Hull, handles the chop well and for the amount of "vee" it has it drafts suprisingly little water. I seen one locally for sale and if I had the coin I'd be all over it. It was Gray in color.

I fish out one frequently. Dry heavy Hull, good in chop, and gets in the shallows. Not fast but that is with 225 merc
