Default Over the Edge!

Got voluntold for the Rescue and Medical Squad at the chemical plant I work at. We went through first responder / ems training two weeks ago. This week we are doing Rescue training in Baton Rouge at the Roco Rescue training facility. Day one they had us Rappelling from a 60ft high structure. Ive never done anything like this but it was cool! The rest of the week ought to be interesting. Here are a few pics

Was a volunteer fire fighter for 4 years. The repelling was scary at first. I was always scared of heights. After a few times I was addicted. Also the rush of going into a burning house was something i came to love. Wish I was younger and could do it again.

We do it onsite. So we practice on our own equipment and structure.
