On Tuesday the tide did not start moving until 6 or 7 PM in that area. By 7;30 PM the water was starting to move better. By dark the water had only dropped a couple of inches at the boat launch.
About 7:30 PM, I found a large flock of seagull near the 210 bridge. There was a large school of lady fish chasing bait. No problem.....there has got to be some trout or reds nearby. After I got into position and made a few cast, I caught a 26" redfish using a char color gulp swimming mullet fishing it slowly on the bottom. In 45 minutes I caught 6 or 7 reds [and a few lady fish], 3 Reds were keepers. I never could find a flounder that afternoon, mostly fishing along dropoffs. I guess having no water movement did not help. |

I guess I should have posted a report of a ~10 foot gator that I "caught". I could have reached down and touched it.....this was while crabbing a couple of weeks ago. I really wish I had my camera ready but it happened quickly and no time to "choot him". |
