Default Reds for kids in Big Lake

Planning on taking the kids and the wife out to big lake today. I just want them to catch a few fish of any kind, rat reds would be ok. Anybody have any suggestions? Are they selling bait at Cal Point?

Thanks for any ideas you have.

Dan

bait store is usually closed this time of year. Might try drains in the salt ditch too

Pretty much any gas station in the area. Cormie's will have some if you launching at Calc Point.

Water has been trashed for 2 weeks now...and have limited out (20) every time we went. They're there trust me...you jus gotta figure out how to catch them.

Your not the only one....saw alot of yearlings and young bucks. First year in a loooong time without killing atleast one. Hogs left our lease as well, they used to take up the slack when deer hunting was slow. Oh well that's how it goes sometimes, gunna get me even more pumped up for next year.
