Default Creel Survey at Hebert's today

Please stop by and say hello today. We'll have the creel survey team at Hebert's from a bit before 10:00 AM until the influx of fish slows down. We're measuring weights and lengths to quantify the plumpness and relative condition of the fish for the third year in a three year study. We'd love the chance to weigh and measure your fish.

In addition to specks and redfish, drum and gafftop catfish are also important components in the study, so please bring by any you happen to catch today. If you prefer not to keep bull drum we'll take possession from you, clean the fish and make sure the meat gets eaten. If you prefer not to clean bull drum or redfish, I'll fillet them for you if you let us weigh and measure them. Sorry, I won't fillet your trout or smaller redfish.

If things slow in the afternoon, we'll probably make our way out to the jetty fishing pier to try and get more drum and gafftop measurements, perhaps even wetting a line. Be safe out there today and stop by and say hello. At some point in the next week or so, we'l probably be measuring fish at Calc Pt and Spicer's too.
