I use something like that but nothing will work better than throwing lead down range.
One thing I use mine for is verifying the scope is on after you shoot it. You can check your gun with it after taking a long trip or knocking the scope. After you site your gun move a target back to 25 yards and put the laser in the gun have some one mark the spot of the lazer dot when scope is on center of target and place in gun case. When needed put the target back up and put lazer on dot marked. If the crosshairs is not in center of target it has moved. All you have to do now is move the crosshairs to center target |

I've used a lot of different bore sighters, and they can really do no better than putting you on the paper most of the time at 100 yards so that you save a few shots adjusting your scope before you are even on the paper. Sometimes, you'll get lucky and be really close at 100 yards after bore sighting. I would not trust any bore sighter to take shots at game without shooting paper first at a variety of ranges out to the maximum range I am hunting. |

I've used it, its ok after installing a scope and using it to make sure your hitting close enough to sight in when going to range. it might save you a few bucks in ammo. but its not something I would rely on to sight in before a hunt.
