Fished 7am-Noon. The boat trail I was fishing was really happening. Boated 28, kept 10, and lost more on the way to the boat.
Frogs were the ticket though a buzzbait was also producing. I left them still biting due to lightning.

Looks good. If you can find a trail with good water movement, you can sit in almost one place and catch a ton. Are you still launching into the intercoastal and running back?

I love when the fish are biting on a buzz bait. It's just exciting.

Default Miami Corp/ "Burns" 6/19/2016

Supposedly, this last weekend was the first time the water level at Sabine River has been below official flood level since March.
I can't wait to get out there.
Am curious to know when they're gonna open the boat launch at the Burnt-Out.

That's been some great pictures T-Boo. I've got the "envies" (Cajun for wanting) to get out to the Burns. Right now all I have is my 18 ft. Gator-Trax with a 37 Boss Drive; but my Edge boat should be in next week so I'll probably see you out there. I made some great trips out there this year but it was always with a buddy with a 25 hp. Be safe out there!

Yeah man! I got the "ohnvees" to get back out there, too.
Am bringing my son tomorrow. Am hoping to really get him hooked on bass fishing. He's 11.
I bring him perch-jerking here and again but wanna make him feel the force.
My boat is green and my carpet is a green that doesn't go with the boat color.
Gimme a shout if ya see us.

I can't wait to get back around Nibletts, their facebook page says they are working hard to get the park open again. I don't know what condition the launches were in.

I can't wait to see the positive effects of the recent major flood of fresh Toledo water on the Sabine River (all respect to home and property owners that were affected negatively by it, though).

Yep! One of my buddies that I hunt and fish with (he has the 25 for the Burns has an 11 year old who just finished 5th grade at the school where I am a principal. That boy will fish in a road-side ditch all day long. Once your son "feels the force" you will have a fishing buddy for life! When I get my Edge boat rigged out I'll give you a shout. I fished Lacassine today and we kept 8. Had two over 3 pounds. I could have stayed out there all day but my buddy can't take the heat.
