Default 6/23/16 houston river

got a chance to go out Thursday morning before having to return to work for the weekend. I got on the water by 0730 and made my way into Houston river, and I wanted to fish water ive never been to before. so I ran a little ways up and just decided to stop and start fishing. it was slow to start off only getting a tiny little bass and a goggle eye. around 1100 I hit a stretch of bank and caught a keeper bass, and next cast to the next cypress tree I caught a bass that ended up weighing right at 2 lbs. made it a little further and caught another keeper bass. after that I called it a day and went home to start some yard work. all were caught on a black buzz bait.
