Default 4/18/10 one pround pops

well i finally was able to get my 4 year old and his cousin on their first fishing trip.we started the affternoon in turners.it took my son a little timw to figure out how to throw that spiderman reel.well the first cast he makes on his own he hooks into a croaker.that moment is priceless.he yells dad and when i turned arround he was hooked up.we fished till dark and he caught 2 croakers and a hard head.that boy would not put his reel down for a moment.he keep saying he was not giving up and he wanted to catch 1 more.just like pops.he was upset when we had to head in and made me promise to take him back.thats one promise i will be keeping and will take him anytime ha wants.his cousin was also able to reel ina couple of drum and croaker.i will never forget that first fish.one peoud pops let me tell you.

We have caught a bunch of brim in some ponds. Just makes me nervous putting her in the boat.

My little girl is 7. She has made just about every fishing for the last 2 years. Brought her deer hunting, and now i will not be able to leave the house without taking her this year. Taking the kids is what ist is all about. You won't always be able to compete with your buddies(they will catch or kill more than you), but the memories you will give them are priceless.

I can relate....my little boy just turned 4 and caught his first "polka dot" fish last fall and it is still my favorite fishing trip to this day.

Congrats on the lasting memory!
