Default Christmas Jewelry

I got me an early Christmas present on Sunday in Sweetlake. Birds didnt fly until after about 8-8:20. One bunch flew by and we got 2. 10 minutes later another buch came in and we dropped 2 more but one was crippled. After searching for a while and not finding it I went back to the blind. We didnt see anything else so we packed up and left a little after 9. I decided to walk across the field to the road while my dad went around on the 4- wheeler in hopes of a last chance of finding that cripple. Finally he jumped up, my dog tackled it, and we had a limit and a band to finish the hunt.

I got the info back on my banded bird. Hatched in 2006 and it was banded in july of 2008. It was tagged 24 miles west of Atqasuk, North Slope Borough, Alaska. Thats a pretty long ways to fly to get here. Shows you just how impressive these birds really are.
