My dad said he's pretty sure he saw one the other day but they didn't kill it. Not sure if it was but he said it came in and it was really red and had blue wing patches. Coulda been a blue wing but who knows

I killed a cinnamon hen in Sabine refuge years ago. I asked one of the Wildlife agents and he confirmed that it was a cinnamon. It wasn't mount worthy, but it was a little different than a bluewing. I killed a golden eye drake once when I was hunting near the Salt Ditch, probably should have mounted that one.

I also killed a golden eye that i have mounted. No haven't seen any cinnamon teal or heard of any this year. Last year during big duck season we saw a drake mixed in with a flock of bluwings, but they skirted the pond and never came in. It was in full plumage you talk about pretty i for sure would,ve stuck it on the wall.

A freind of mine 3yrs ago had a flock of cinnamon teal come in and they killed 3 out of it 2 males and a female i'll see if he can send me a picture of the mount. He had all 3 mounted in a habitat mount for a show piece in his house. He hunts in big pasture.

If there are any cinnamons mixed in right now it will be hard to pick them out as the drakes are just starting to show there markings. The hens of both species are almost identical so that doesn't help either. As far as the greenwings, go I killed at least 1 every day I hunted this teal season. Twice I had 6 greenwings, never had that before in Sept. Did anyone else have LOTS of pintail on Sat? We saw about a dozen flocks of 10 or more and had 4 of those flocks work us. If this is any indication it should be a killer year.

We have killed a quite a few greenwings also. The way to tell if it's a cinnamon is the red eye. Dead give away. And yes. We saw LOTs of pintail yesterday and one big flock of bootlips.
