Default Texas boats

What y'all think about all the boats like JH boats and ShallowSport all them Texas hands like to use. I like a lot of them because the layouts for the most part are open and they're straight up made to fish but they all seem useless for big lake but must my 2 cents. BTW these things are hideousImageUploadedByTapatalk1437183263.347055.jpg

Haynie, JH, Explorer, El Pescador, GulfCoast, and Majek are all bad *** boats. Plenty of quality texas makers out there. Lots of Haynies on BL. The others i mentioned are very similar, just a little less popular in LA. I wouldn't be concerned about where a boat was manufactured, but the company's reputation, hull design, and lay-out would be my priorities.

Those Majek Extremes are gaining popularity, and seem to hold up well

Isn't this style of boat, like the one in the picture, called a Panga boat?

I used to work with a guy from TX and he was always talking about getting him a Panga style boat.

I've fished out of haynie and majek and love em both. I really like this cat but worried it wouldn't handle BL on a rough day but who knows ImageUploadedByTapatalk1437275147.213911.jpg

The boats you see without t.m.'s are dudes that strictly wade.

I've done it in one of those, wouldn't catch me crossing a gap in the ICW with one! Them things are scary when it gets Rollin out there.
