Sorry to bring up an old thread but just curious is anyone else had experience with BoatUS towing, in and around the Lake Charles/Big Lake area? I was considering signing up but wanted to be sure it was worth the money.

How much does the sheriffs office charge? I have seen them towing people couple of times.

Yep. Been towed in and also towed in several. There's always boats on the water that are willing to help.

I understand calling the CPSO in case of an emergency but I don't mind paying to have a commercial service on call, just for the peace of mind. My real question is has anyone used the BoatUS Tow service and was it actually a reliable service?

I know Vermilion parish po po will not tow U in... WLF either... Liability big time.. They will come get U and take U to safety.
Sea Tow is very good...Someone else may be able to chime in if there is a sea tow boat in Lake Charles area... Closest I think is in New Orleans area... |
