Layout Blinds
know they make those neo socks for up to 8 inches but for the price the cabelas seemed like the best bang for the buck. Regular price $259 on sale for $199 right now. I called the store in gonzales and they have plenty in stock for the same price as online. Headin to Br for the Game saturday so i figured i could pick it up then so i wouldnt have to wait for it to be shipped. They Have alot of other models on sale if your looking for something on dry fields. |

Nice! Taking customers hunting on someone else's land you don't have to lease.

Wet
My experience is that if you hunt in a ground blind in any water, it will get in your ground blind no matter if it is water proof. You carry water back into the blind when you get in and out, it's a mess. Your best bet is to get against a levee or find a high spot. Just my 2 cents.

Yep. Even a couple inches is a mess. Best to pile some grass under you or something to raise you up

Hunted in about 3 inches of water this evening. Set my blind on some pallets. Had Waders and a frog togg jacket. Stayed dry even with the rain. Wish All the geese I jumped while setting up would of came back, but still smoked a limit of teal. Didn't have a one duck decoy out. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1385510230.591218.jpg

How is it shooting teal out of a layout? I'd imagine it'd be difficult but never used it for ducks.

Not as hard as you might think. They dont flare near as bas as a goose when you throw the doors open.
