FlagUS Bay Area...

I’m trying to set up a fishing trip for my nephew from North Louisiana on Friday of this week (10-25-13)… If you hear any fishing reports this week I would appreciate it if you could let me know… I am checking the reports on SaltyCajun.com, The Louisiana Sportsman, and RodNReel.com… I have checked the tides and it looks to be a falling tide for most of the day on Friday, the salt content seems to be holding around 5.50% - 5.75%, and the winds at this point look to be projected around 5 – 10 mph out of the NNE… I also have a friend that will be fishing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week… He is going to keep me posted as well on his progress…. My nephew is from Monroe and it will be a pretty good trip for him to drive down and NOT catch… This will be a first for him to fish saltwater and I want to make sure that I cover all the bases and do my part to insure that it is a very productive trip and an experience that he will always remember… This will be my first trip out as well in the last six months… Again, thanks in advance for your feedback… Direct e-mail is ImBrowsin@yahoo.com...

Thanks Clampy... Just looking for a little feedback on where they're biting (besides in the mouth) and what they're biting on... I got all the other things needed, bay rig, rods, gas, snacks and time....

Yeah he likes to reach a little bit Last day of star a couple years ago I had a huge trout on and I thought it was my new boat. Brad hit it twice with the net but we still got it. Was 29.25 inchs and weighed a Whoping 5.98 lbs. so no boat but he's got a little better with net since then.

If your nephew will be here for a couple of days maybe you could plan a crabbing and shrimping trip to Rockefeller. Some good reports have been posted lately and I am sure he would enjoy that experience.

Looks like it will only be a one day trip... Rockefeller or big lake was my first couple of thoughts but I,m more familiar with the Bay Area... I only been to big lake once and Rockefeller twice... Thanks for the info...

Just go and find clean water, weather man can't even predict when the sun will set, so where've they are biting now will probably change.

It's fall in south LA, you move around a bit and find good water with structure, you will catch.

Hook and line maps can be had at academy and provide great general areas and times of year with coords.
