Default Hitting Big Lake in the merning after 5 weeks of down time!

Well my cuzin is coming down from Houston ( Don't worry he is Louisiana born and raised no croakers and drums for him lol) so we gonna hit the lake since I got my cast off today. Any helpful advice would be much appreciated I haven't fished in forever and with the weather we been having I don't know if my normal spots are gonna produce!

I have some advice...last Sat...the temp was 24 to start the day.... Got on water at 10am...fished from mid lake to 210 ..in water from 2ft to 40ft....even hit the weirs to save a SKUNK..but we had ZERO FISH... Not one FISH IN 100 MILES of ground coverd......with 3 good fishermen...but hey....your call!! Water temp was around 38 to 42

Oh yeh it was a cold one today ended up catching 3 reds and only one that was of size, water temps never got above 45 degrees everything was caught on swim shads fishing slow slow.
Still a good day on the water hopefully next week it will be better!

10 mph winds with 50 deg. air temp. feels real cold when the water temp. is 45 deg.
That air blowing across the open water is a killer.
