Default Deer roast rotisserie

Have a new grill and wanted to try to smoke a deer roast on the rotisserie. Any tips or suggestions?

Only thing i ever did on a spit was a hog.
rub the roast down w/ some olive oil ,season well.
Wrap it in plastic wrap real good. Inject w/ jalapeno / butter injection through the wrap.
Fridge at least over night, 24 hrs is better. Unwrap and season again. pin a pack or two of thin slice bacon to the roast w/ tooth picks and spin it over 240 - 260 degree pit. cook till internal temp is 145-150 rest for at least one hour before slicing.
