Default My first attempt!

Made it Sunday. My first attempt at my own Deer sausage. Made about 12lbs. Havnt tried it yet so i'm hoping for the best.

My wife has got one of those Kitchenaid mixers so I bought the attechments for it. Figured for as little as I would be making that would do for now.

When your making it have you a skillet handy and fry a small pattie to test the seasoning before you put it in the casing. That way you can season to taste.

This is true, also write down how much you put of everything so when you mess up and get it right you will know what to do again.

Very cool. I am wanting to learn myself how to make and smoke sausage and other meats. Im about half way through process of building my smokehouse now. I may post the build pics on here soon.

Ate a good bit of it over the weekend and I must say that it was pretty darn good. I may see a smoke house in my future as well...
