Default Worms in big lake

Hey guys I made a trip down to big lake yesterday with the girlfriend and managed a few trout early along the ship channel on plastics. As I was cleaning them I started noticing little white worms in almost everyone of them. Anyone else have long this problem with there trout and reds? And is there anything you can do about it, instead of throwing the whole fish away?

Fry them, they pose no health risk to humans although they don't look appeasing.

Eat Em! It is not a local thing, I grew up fishing lower Laguna Madre, clear water, trout had worms also. However, I don't point this fact out to the wife.

The worms come from pot licking, sharing the same pot is unsanitary.

Yep, no prob. The fish all over the coast have those. fry or grill the fish are edible.

Potlicking ... LOL.
