Default tough day

went and hit lake p today and struck out once again. got 2 bites and that was it. we rode ALL over. we went from ft pike to unknown pass, out to ICW to HWC then to seabrook out into the lake and rode the lake all the way back around to hwy 11 bridge and came back over to ft. pike and loaded up. We stopped at every hotspot I knew and nuthing. only saw about 8-10 other boats and never saw anyone pull anything in.

We did get tore up by gnats though. This was the worst plague of gnats I have ever seen. When we went to load up literally I couldn't open my mouth or eyes due to the amount of gnats in the air. I was squinting the whole time we were loading everything up. It was HORRIBLE!!! They bit us so much that we were steadily scratching all the way from the landing until we hit I12 and then periodically scratched all the way back to walker. I've never seen anything like it and I hope I never do again.

gnats seem to be really bad this year - got tore up in DuLarge on Wednesday launching at Jug's - thankfully there was enough wind on the water to keep them down while we were fishing.

did you try the area I told you about the other day?

No horrible is not the word. Idk if yall can even fathom what I am talking about. I've been in the outdoors and fishing all my life. I have been around when gnats are just horrible, but this was completely unreal. All I could relate it to was bible stories. It was completely nuts. It was literally like the worst gnat swarm I've ever been in, times that by 15-20. I mean to the point I didnt want to breathe even through my nose because there were so many, and I couldnt even hardly open my eyes. Earlier I blew my nose and a bunch of gnats came out. I was holding my breath trying to get the boat all strapped down and stuff. lucky I didn't pass out.

Yea Lakeshore. There is a giant house to the left as you enter the canal. Got a kids swing set play area in one of the front corners and a basketball court in back. Not sure about apartments.
