Default What boat for Rockefeller and point

Hey I have a big bay boat but with its size and fiberglass hull I am not happy at Rockefeller or in shallow marsh areas like the water inside marsh island. What size flat bottom is small enough for this shallow water and big enough to make it to marsh island, and back! And what size motor do I need?

I had an 1860 with a merc 60 on it and could hit the island on a good day, but a kayak can too! Perfect for crabbing, load it down and headed to the rock many times. I got my bay boat because the bay turned on me real quick one day and I vowed to never feel like that again - there's nowhere to go when you're between the point and the island...

They make Mod Vee Aluminum, with a tunnel hull and pods that'll run in those shallow lakes (where the birds are wading around) yet if you go to a slow plane (on Step) can handle some 2-3 chop so-so. Get "high" sides (24-26").
