Default Sweating it out this weekend

This past weekend was definitely hot. The fishing was great Friday but not real good Saturday day and night. The trout bite continues inconsistent. We are slowly switching to redfish using cracked crab. Friday it worked out great with 65 trout and 25 reds where Saturday not so much with a bunch of throwbacks and only 21 trout and 3 reds hitting the K2. My night crew started off with a bang but 3 of the 4 were out cold by 10 so it's hard to get an idea of how well we would have done if everyone fished. One thing I can say is the bite was slow in which the guys were napping while waiting it to turn on but that never happened. With the warmer temperatures the trout seem to be entertaining live bait more although the new Vortex Shad in Purple Haze and Shrimp Cocktail worked for us.
