Default This Week in Fishing

Now, the redfishing down here in Dularge is on FIRE. The rest of this month through September is going to be as good as it gets!

Monday I had a gang of guys from the U.S. Tennis Association in town for a big meeting. They wanted to have some fun before business so off we went. With the bottom fishing on fire, they still opted for the artificial bite so off we went. We started with gold spoons pounding the lake banks but didn't find too many fish willing to bite. The ones we saw we caught but the reds just weren't active that day. Topic of the day was Anna Kournikova!

Thursday I had some college football referees also in town for a meeting and they too wanted fun before business. We set out at daybreak and hit the hot spot with crab on the bottom. The bite was slow to start but we left them biting at 10:00 with a limit. Topic of the day was not football!

Today on Friday the big dogs from Coca Cola joined us at the Reel Inn for a 3 boat charter. Once again we found the reds biting at the hot spot on crab. The bite was subtle today and tough to get a hook in them. We persisted until we ran out of bait. Big thanks to Capt. Marty Lacoste for setting up the trip.

All is well in Dularge with regards to redfishing! I have a few openings left at the end of this month as well as plenty dates in September! Nows the time to fill the freezer with slabs of golden goodness!
