Hairout

I was in Market Bucket in Moss Bluff one day last fall and the woman in front of me paid for her food with "da card". She then asked the clerk what her available balance was and she told her $121. The lady said go ahead and cash it out fer me. The clerk handed her $120 in cold cash. I was fuming!!!!!!!!!1

I called the food stamp office the next day and inquired. Apparenty they get some stipend money to help pay for diapers, etc. that they can't use the card for.

Still fuming mad over this!

I would think the opposite would apply. If that's the case....can people buy cattle with food stamps?

with the economy and the brilliant governor we have, there should be a food assistance reform, food stamps should be like wic, you get only what they allow. No luxury food items, and while they should have a reform for food stamps they should have one on government housing too! too many people getting by not having to pay anything for food and housing, but driving nice cars and wearing expensive designer clothing.

I have families with stores and this became a big stink there are certain rules and regulations a store must meet to participate in Louisiana purchase or wic. Hot foods are not allowed sounds funny but they allow food stamp at many crawfish distributors for live. And some do it under the table for boiled. You are only suppose to buy food that needs to be cooked on food stamps.

Is it any different from the next recipient buying slabs of meat for a BBQ? Or a big cake from the bakery?

He is too worried about fund raising. And the Republicans control the State Senate. Everyone waves the flag for them but they don't give a **** about us, all they are worried about is big business.

David Duke has a pretty good stance on this crap, drug testing to receive state help and limited amount of time to get a job or lose state help. These animals live better then we do, I stopped at Richards to get lunch one day and a herd climbed out of their new Lexus SUV with paper plates and went in and cleaned the store out with Da card

You see it at Rouses in Metairie all the time. Load up on the weekend for cookouts with the card. I told my wife since we have 4 kids I may just give up working. We would have a fully loaded card, be able to bbq everyday or boil crawfish, probably get 2 escalades for each of us, and I guess since I would not feel like paying a mortgage apply for free housing. Why not right? Pretty sad what is going on in this country these days. All you have to do is go to a checkout at a Rouses or Super Walmart and you are just disgusted for the rest of the day.
