Default Fickin to throw a 14x46" together with a short shaft 40hp 2 stroke

Decided to sell my Alweld 12x42" and gonna throw a 14x46" with a hybrid V kinda copying the Havoc and Edges sport john boats. I will post new pics as I progress. Got my aluminum and hull sheet with some bends from Pierce Aluminum press brake.

Shaped the nose of the hull, then tacked some thick channel in to keep the bottom true while I build the 4" set back transom, run my stringers, and frame my front deck.

Got the stringer tacked to the floor and front deck cut out. Ran out of Argon and have not finish welded the interior seams yet.

Gonna finish weld the interior seams, all the stringers, weld the front deck in, and weld in the gunnel and transom C channel next. Then i will flip it and weld the underside.

Started cutting out the rear deck, it's gonna be open so I can slide my battery and 6 gal fuel tank under it. Gonna have a Yeti 20qt roadie mounted in front of the deck I will sit on and build a 12x18" dry box across from me that a passenger could sit on. I mostly plan on a passenger riding on the front deck since it is a drop deck.

$1800 with a case of aluminum wire and I bought an extra 4x12' sheet of plate to double floor it and have some left over to build me a crawfish cooker. So prolly actually $1600 if I only bought a 4x8' sheet and not so much extra wire.

About the same price as an Alweld cost and more than the cheaper Academy boats cost the same size, so not the cheapest way to get a boat, I just enjoy it and like thicker hulls.

Got the interior seams welded, transom channel, and stringers welded to the floor. Flipped her over and welded the front exterior seams up. Still have to weld the rear exterior seams up.

Then I will flip it back over and will be throwing the floor and decks in which I already have cut out.

Got the bottom welded up and the rear deck/seat in. Ran my first lateral brace under the deck, will add 2 more between the rear and front deck on 24" centers and put a double floor between the lateral braces.
Then it's off to the front deck. ...
