FlagUS Great Trout Action!

Dularge Trout/Redfish Action

The spring trout migration is in full swing guys! The trout are on the move and leaving their deep winter holes. The mass migration is heading south and the fish are eating up everything in their path. This trend will continue for another month or so as the fish make their way to the gulf to reach higher salinities. Gary Rogacki & his lifelong friend J.C. Robinson fished with me on Saturday. They came in from Virginia for a 4 day adventure on the DU! We jumped all over the trout at our first stop catching trout on just about every cast for the 1st hour. We were chunking LSU chubs and blueback swimbaits. 14-22 inch fish slammed our lures and the guys just loved it! The trout were slamming finger mullet on the surface but it really didn't matter as the fish would eat up anything you threw in front of them. Just another fun day on the DU! Good luck fishing.
