Default another pit trip

Hit another pit today off the Pearl River for a couple hours. Found a few fish that were willing to hit a Bomber. Caught one of the biggest white perch I've ever seen.

Didn't have scales with us. We measured it at just a hair under 21". That thing had a belly like W. I didn't know it was a perch until it stuck it's head out of the water beside the boat. Got 2 treble hooks in my hand tryin' to lip that thing. Spent 1 1/2 hours at the ER. Damn a Bomber!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a full shot pic but it got deleted somehow. Hard to use a camera with two barbs buried in your hand. We usually catch a big perch in that pit every trip, but, this is the biggest. River just got out of it.

While I'm fairly certain of the length...I don't know if I agree with this calculation. I just don't think that fish weighed over 4 lbs.

I was just estimating. Cuz I know an 18 inch perch is a little over 3lb. Which is kinda what your chart shows. I was thinkin 21 would be closer to 4. Just a guess. But none the less a huge beautiful sac-au-lait

Oh, I wasn't doubtin' ya...just wanted to check. You were spot-on. Maybe I just can't imagine a perch weighin' 4 lbs.

I was thinking the same thing.

Salty, looks like this new "hobby" is getting you out the house. Glad to see that.
