Default Gigging regulations in calc. River?

Thinking bout heading over to the cameron ferry landing after work to try wading for some flounder. My padnuh suggested bringing the lights and gigs to try sticking a few after the sun went down if we didn't already have our 20. Just wondering if gigging around there is legal?

Pretty sure it's legal everywhere. Prolly not in a refuge.

That area is legal, just watch the limit cause they will check you on your way to the truck. Also watch where you park, there is a landowner that will call cameron sheriff on you.

Its been a couple of years but there is a flat south of the ferry, north of the plant that will hold flounder if the tide is right, they would get in that grass on that west bank. Good luck!

Thanks. I have never really fished or gigged the area. Just going with a buddy that hammered them there on sat. Very cool of you to point out the spot. I'll definitely give it a look
